The Annapolis Valley Regional Library offers free deposit services to a variety of eligible institutions, which can benefit from a short-term collection of library materials that are provided and replaced on a regularly-scheduled basis.
Eligible institutions include: retirement residences, nursing homes, and licensed childcare facilities [8 or more children].
Library materials are selected and prepared by library staff and can include fiction, non-fiction, DVDs, large print, etc. as requested by the facility. Loan periods and delivery schedules are set at three weeks. A designated employee from the receiving facility will arrange and manage the borrowing and care of the materials between deposit and pick-up visits.
There are no fines for overdue items, although replacement costs are expected should materials be damaged or unreturned.
