Annapolis Valley Regional Library Fundraiser with Heated Rivalry Author Rachel Reid - Saturday, September 12

A fundraiser for the Annapolis Valley Regional Library

Join us for a special afternoon with bestselling author Rachel Reid in support of the Annapolis Valley Regional Library.

This ticketed event will feature an hour-long conversation and Q&A with Rachel moderated by host Stephanie Domet and a silent auction with unique Heated Rivalry items up for grabs (More details to follow)!

The event will take place at University Hall, Acadia University, 13 University Ave, Wolfville on Saturday, September 12.

Tickets are priced at $65 and will go on sale to the public through the Acadia box office beginning Thursday, August 20.

A limited number of pre-signed books will be available for purchase on-site through local bookseller The Inside Story.

Please note that there will be no signing line or meet and greet at this event.

Rachel Reid

RACHEL REID is the New York Times bestselling author of the Game Changers series, which has been adapted into the smash hit television series, Heated Rivalry.

Rachel has always lived in Nova Scotia, Canada, and will likely continue to do so. She has two boring degrees and two interesting kids. She has been a hockey fan since childhood, but sadly never made it to the NHL herself.

Stephanie Domet

Stephanie Domet

STEPHANIE DOMET is the author of two books of fiction, Homing and Fallsy Downsies, both published by Invisible. She is at work on a third.

She is the co-founder and co-executive director of the AfterWords Literary Festival, and Game Changers series super fan.

She lives in Halifax where she is ever hopeful the Leafs will win the cup in her lifetime.

  • Accessible washrooms are located on the main floor.
  • There is no elevator in the building to reach the balcony or basement washrooms.
  • There is dedicated space in the auditorium for people who use assistive devices, and other members of their party. Please call the Acadia University Box Office directly to reserve these tickets as a group.

  • There is a ramp to enter on the south side/rear of the building.
  • There is a driveway in front of University Hall which may be used to drop off people who cannot walk from the parking lot. Note that there is no parking in this driveway loop (Chapel Loop) or on Perkins Way.
  • Limited street parking is available on the streets on-campus, and in the Town of Wolfville. 
  • The closest large parking lot is on Main Street beside the Acadia Athletics Complex Map of Parking at Acadia University
  • No parking is available on the driveway immediately in front of University Hall (Chapel Loop), or on the on-campus street beside it (Perkins Way)
  • If you wish to make an additional donation to the AVRL, you will be able to do so when you buy a ticket. Your donation will not be taxed or subject to box office fees. 
  • You can also make a donation to AVRL using Canada Helps
  • There will not be a concession stand at University Hall. 
  • This will be a dry event; water fountains are available on-site and you are welcome to bring your own water bottle with you into the auditorium.
  • Winners of the silent auction will need to pay for their items before they leave the event. A Moneris machine will be available to make payment by debit or credit card. Cash payments will not be available. 
  • In the event that the winner of the auction forfeits their winning bid, the AVRL will contact the person with the next-highest bid.
