The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge has come to an end. We collectively read for 2,260,310 minutes, crushing our goal of 2 million! Congratulations all!
The prize draws will be held this week and we will be contacting all of the winners directly. Best of luck, all!

The Summer Reading Challenge (SRC) is back for another fun-filled season of reading, activities, prizes, and special events!
The SRC ran from June 20 until August 31, 2025.
We have a Summer Reading Challenge for everyone!

- Kids
- Teens
- Adults
The goal for all four programs is the same: read for 20 hours over the summer. Participants will log their reading and complete activities, earning badges and raffle tickets for fun prizes as they go*.
Earlybird signups:. Everyone who signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge between June 13 and June 19 were automatically entered to win a Nova Scotia Museums Family Pass, good for a year’s worth of admission to all 28 Nova Scotia Museum sites! The winner will be notified once the draw has been completed.
