Exploring the Magic of a StoryWalk: Bringing Books to Life Outdoors
In the hustle and bustle of life, it can be hard to find time to get lost in a good book. But what if you could combine reading with enjoying nature AND getting some physical activity? Enter TD’s StoryWalk- a nature walk and a literary adventure, all at once!
What is a StoryWalk?
StoryWalks bring children’s books to life in the outdoors. Each page of the book is placed sequentially along a route- on a trail, in a park, outside a library- on laminated posters, so you can read and engage with the story as you walk from one panel to the next. StoryWalks combine the benefits of being active with the pleasure of reading, encouraging children (and grown-ups!) to engage with stories in a dynamic way.
