The Rosa M. Harvey Middleton & Area Library would like to welcome local art enthusiasts to visit and view our art display featuring and promoting local artists in our area.
For the month of February, we are featuring the artwork of the Valley’s Cindy Tessier.
Cindy spent most of her childhood here in the Annapolis Valley, but experienced her adult life living in Ontario. Since returning 7 years ago in order to be closer to her aging parents, she has been able to experiment further with her artist abilities.
Now being semi-retired, Cindy has been experimenting with painting the last 5 years in a way to deal with her struggle with mental health. After becoming aware that she was battling depression, her enjoyment of abstract impressionism/expressionism has bloomed, with help from a media post from Jim Carrey called “I Needed Color”
Throughout her life, Cindy has always been working with her hands, through projects such as sewing, needle felting, sculpting and drawing. However, her passion lately has been with painting, as proven through the beautiful art wall here in Middleton.
Cindy’s work will be on display at the Rosa M. Harvey Middleton and Area Library until the end of February. We encourage you all to come view her expressive work.
