The Summer Reading Challenge (SRC) is back for another fun-filled season of reading, activities, prizes, and special events!
This summer, the SRC runs from June 20 until August 31, 2025. Earlybird signups begin on June 13th!
We have a Summer Reading Challenge for everyone!

- Kids
- Teens
- Adults
The goal for all four programs is the same: read for 20 hours over the summer. Participants will log their reading and complete activities, earning badges and raffle tickets for fun prizes as they go*.
Earlybird signups:. Everyone who signs up for the Summer Reading Challenge between June 13 and June 19 will be entered to win a Nova Scotia Museums Family Pass, good for a year’s worth of admission to all 28 Nova Scotia Museum sites!
