Interlibrary Loans – the items not owned by the Annapolis Valley Regional Library’s branches, that we borrow from other library systems on your behalf.
Beginning January 1, 2017, in an effort to reduce long wait times, we are limiting the number of Interlibrary Loans per user to 5 “active” titles.
"Active" titles are defined as being part of any stage from request to return. So, for example, if you have 3 Interlibrary Loan books checked out on your account, and 1 request waiting for arrival, you can request only 1 more title. If you have 5 active titles, then we will return any further requests.
As of January 1, 2017, Interlibrary Loan requests will be returned to you if they put you over the new limit. You may resubmit these later. All those items already on your account will continue to flow through the process.
Please note: There are no limitations on the number of Annapolis Valley Regional Library items you may check out or place on hold.
